It's October, and you know what that means… It's now been TWO AND A HALF YEARS since I've had a job! So of course I'm desperate, but still won't do AI. I just want to join a team & do the work. Also looking for someone to help sell my UX workshop as a business partner! Any marketing folks around?

Being disconnected from Hollywood is fun. Here's an example: maybe you've been poking away at a narrative game concept, nothing major, certainly not your big project, but after about a year of jotting down notes here and there, you learn there's a Chris Pratt movie with a VERY similar premise.

@itch.io Would it be possible to include platform icons in your Download button labels, so users don't have to look to the very end of the line to see which button they should click? It'd make the download process more comfortable and would hopefully be a pretty quick change!

I know I've complained about this before, but it's so frustrating almost finishing a job application with thoughtful responses and plenty of optimism, thinking this could be a perfect match, and everything gets derailed by "We can only hire people located in the US." Then open with that, ya jerks!

Why I don't update mobile apps: I like the look and feel I have now, and if I update, I might get ugly icons and menu options in places I don't expect I can largely ignore the AI stuff, but the next version probably has twice as much of it Maybe a new app wants money for what's currently free

Game devs who've published on the three big consoles: which dev portal did you enjoy working with the most? Were any any of them made with usability or comfort in mind? I've only dealt with Nintendo's portal, and not only is it torture, I can't find anyone with the company who agrees it needs work.

I really enjoy supporting local merchants, but it seems about a quarter of the produce I buy from the bazaar is going bad or already there, and as much as I try to inspect it at the time, I never realize it until I get home. It makes it really hard not to give up and go to a supermarket instead.

In game development, is code considered an asset? Like if I said "No games with assets made using a certain technology we all know and hate," would you think that covers code as well? I know we typically have separate Asset and Script folders, but that's more an organization thing than taxonomy.
