Finished In the Miso Soup last night. Exceptional book! As a film buff sometimes in my head I imagine what a book might best adapt like on film while I read it. This one played out in my mind’s eye like Nicholas Winding Refn does love-letter-to-Japan Lost In Translation as day-glo noir with murder.

Started Halloween season movie watching early today with a 60s gem I’d never seen before, called Mad Monster Party. One of those stop motion deals like those holiday flicks Rudolph and Frosty, etc, but with Boris Karloff, classic monsters, and spookiness. Wacky movie with an over the top third act!
