Sweet boy Burz continues to heal well. His stitches are purple, which is his favorite color anyway, and his fur is growing back in nicely. He's also SLIGHTLY less grumpy toward psycho-boy Merc, which is probably mostly because Burz feels better in general with that sore eye gone.

Despite otherwise participating in today's economic blackout, I'll be writing a huge check for my boy Burz's eye surgery; he had his left eye removed yesterday and has been terrorizing the vet's office ever since with his GROMPY self. Poor baby.

How could a trans ban affect me, a cis female? Well: 1) I don't own a purse. I carry my wallet/keys, etc. in my pockets. 2) I'm overweight and don't really have a waist. I'm also short torso, so women's jeans don't fit well. The low rise ones come up to my waist.

The annoying thing about having been disconnected from my tweeps because of the steaming xitpile Felon Muscovite was that none of them knew that *I* was missing this year. I got COVID in December last year and lost nearly all of 2024 to an endless cycle of brain fog and dysfunction.

Great news in Johnston, IA. Three current school board members are connected to "Moms for Liberty" and the right-wing organization only needed to win one seat tonight to gain full control of the school board. They lost all four seats, setting up a progressive majority instead.
