Web Archivist at The National Archives (UK). I like archives, libraries, museums and all things culture and history but I REALLY like web archives! Probably in Kew or Prudhoe or on a train between the two. nationalarchives.gov.uk/webarchive

🌐 The internet doesn’t remember everything. CARTA Presents: “DIGITAL GHOSTS - ACCESS TO WEB ARCHIVES THROUGH DATA AND CREATIVITY” looks at how creative visualization can make online decay visible, and what disappearance means for cultural memory. Oct. 7, 8 AM PT 🎟️ us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...
Photo of a panel discussion at a "Digital Ghosts" event. Four panelists sit in red and gray chairs against a wall with projected text reading "Digital Ghosts" and "Dorsey, Kaufmann & Feeling Data." A large seated audience fills the foreground, with blue lighting throughout the gallery-like space.

Yes Victoria, we were shouting bread. Closely followed by some 'spirited' shouting of pudding names. It's a good job next door is empty.

Have been listening to 6 Music's Rave Forever for a whole 3 hour train journey. Possibly a mistake as I'm now ready for the weekend on a Wednesday.

If anyone is struggling with the heat, S4C (on iPlayer) is showing Commonwealth Games athletics from very soggy Glasgow. I'm finding it quite cooling!

Would like to thank my fellow passengers on this moderately busy commuter train for almost all putting their bags on the seats beside them. Argh!

Very much recommend a trip to the "Shot Tower". It's on section 9 of the London Loop if you fancy a longer walk and it's where Crane Parkrun finishes. The island nature reserve next door is lovely too.

Mine is the Longford River which is really a human built water course built to supply fountains at Hampton Court Palace. The nearest actual river is the Crane.
