To stay on Randall Wallace / Mel Gibson movies, We Were Soldiers stays fairly faithful to the book it was based on and the real Ia Drang valley battles. UNTIL the last 15 minutes, when they crib a scene from a military fiction novel (Ralph Peters) to give the US a victory that never happened.

Firing Squad rarely fails, and it doesn’t subject the target to minutes of gasping for air or intense pain from a not quickly lethal injection. That said, I agree that capital punishment isn’t great, I’d prefer the state not execute people.
