The first time I saw that was on VideoDisc (SelectaVision, CED). The quality was poor enough that the effect was even more realistic. I no longer have to look away from the puppets, but it took a long time to get there.

It's the "cheap plastic junk" compared to the repairable machines where the consumers are more selective. Sometimes it'll be good enough, most of the time it will be disposable. The environmental disaster seems likely to be similar. Ugh.

He was good, he pooped in the grass so it was easy for me to grab. He was also friendly to all the other dogs and the kids. He's never met a person or dog he didn't love. I'll give him an extra treat for you.

Last night I got an email from @bookshop.org that the publisher isn't filling all of our preorders. Just venting, there's nothing we can do.
