A frog uses its comically long tongue to catch a fleeing fly and the words say “send this to a teacher” pointing right. Then under the tongue it says “Skype a scientist matches classrooms with scientists for free Q&As” and there’s a little pond scene with lily pads and spatterdock flowers and a rock with a snail on it and a salamander with the words get a match at Skype scientist.com

Canada is close to fast-tracking a new West Coast pipeline by naming it a project of national interest. Yet the previous purchase of the Trans Mountain Pipeline (TMX) has shown returns on investment are unlikely to be significant and taxpayers could be left footing a multi-billion-dollar bill. 🧵1/5
Quote from Nichole Dusyk reading: "Another pipeline is not in the national interest. It's a subsidy for the oil industry at the expense of ordinary Canadians. Bypassing environmental rules to build it would continue a troubling pattern of trading public protections and dollars for fossil fuel expansion."

Hey all.
Firstly, this message applies only to the immediate town of Upsala and not to any outlying areas.
In light of last nights rain, and the fire behaviour over the last few days, while am not telling you you should go home, I am no longer suggesting you shouldn't. The fire still lies to the south like a sleeping dragon. If you do come home please sleep with an eye open.
Hollywood has conditioned us to drama development and resolution all being accomplished in an hour and a half.
16 hours max in a mini series. Unfortunately real life is not like that, and we could be in for a long seesaw ride. Likely until either we get deluged with rain or MR finally frees up enough manpower and equipment to come put this fire out.
It is totally possible that another evacuation becomes necessary, however currently the threat is not that imminent and this would be a good time to lower the stress level and get some normalcy back in your lives, if that's possible under the circumstances. Just don't unpack your escape bag just yet.
Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation during this ongoing difficult time.
Stay safe, Doug
