#ItaliaGB #Revell #Ferrari 512TR update OK, new compressor in place - airbrushes (2 x H&S Ultra) not quite right (need new needles?) but managed to get coat of Blu Chiaro on heavily diluted with Mr Levelling Thinner. Few bits of crud to be removed then next coat(s) which might darken tone as well

It's a lovely thing, good spec with alloys too (had auto which I presume most did when new) There is a tatty blue one locally too on private plate which has plastic wheel covers and lots of dings from the elderly driver presumably

Good news is new airbrush compressor is here and looks great. Bad news is I never thought to check hose connection, old Badger end has 1/4in but Fengda seems to have ‘standard’ 1/8in so now ordered a new hose. More waiting!

Build Fifteen will be AMT's '62 Corvette. I'm going back to 1989 with this one - purple paint, and the full bonkaroonie twin-supercharger engine setup, with some suitably outrè wheels too. Hey, like they say - go big or go home!

Been chasing air issues with airbrush for while - tried new fittings, pressure controls etc. Today when trying to refit things again it became clear what the issue is - outlet from tank has cracked (metal fatigue ?) - not easy to replace. New compressor ordered (to be fair old Badger was 15y old)

Livie is the daily driver round here. That means she gets a tad neglected in the washing and polishing departnent. I put that to rights on Tuesday and now I feel guilty as she scrubs up really quite well.

You know what - I'm calling this one done. Not the best Monogram kit I've ever built - the '91 ZR1 was better - but it looks the part (if you don't look too closely). Expect another Corvette for Build Fifteen, but more on that later.

Only one I know of is IMC/Testors 1/25 kit but never seen one for sale, IndyCals do modern decals if I ever get one Other than that it would be the SMTS 1/43 metal kit I think

Tough day at the office. Engine misaligned, windscreen won't fit, and the intake fouls the underside of the clamshell hood. Had to disassemble about seven steps' worth of progress to get it even this far. Still, should pay off in the end.
