The USS Hucknall Master Systems Display for my #StarTrekAdventures #rpg game is now complete, and just in time. There's some fun easter eggs in it, and I had a blast working on it. #ttrpg #illustration
An illustration of a Master Systems Display from Star Trek for a non-canon starship called the USS Hucknall. It has four nacelles, a single hull, and is dedicated to diplomacy. To that end it has a theatre, a sports hall, a pool for whales and plenty of hangar space.

The USS Hucknall Master Systems Display for my #StarTrekAdventures game I'm starting tomorrow is nearly complete. It's been a real labour of love, and a lovely way to get myself out of a bit of an illustrative funk. #ttrpg #starTrek #illustration #rpg
A mostly complete illustration of a Master Systems Display from Star Trek: a cutaway line drawing of a spaceship within an LCARS interface. It is in the traditional yellows, ochres and purples. It is for the USS Hucknall, a Mercia-class, a design I created for my game.

The USS Hucknall master systems display is nearing completion. I hope my players in my Star Trek adventures game appreciate the work I’ve put into this. I need to figure out some Easter eggs to hide in the ship though. #rpg #starTrek #starTrekAdventures
A master systems display for a custom spaceship for my new Star Trek adventures campaign. It has the custom LCARS bars and buttons, and there are now some details inside the ship including two shuttle bays, two bars and the Arboretum at the top of the ship.

I am preparing for a new Star Trek Adventures game with a custom starship: the USS Hucknall, a Mercia-class rapid response diplomatic courier. What if you smushed four nacelles onto a Sovereign saucer, and then gave it a big hump to contain the biggest arbouretum in the fleet?

My RPG group will have been running for six years next month, which feels wild to me. I have been blessed to have had such a great group of players (and at times GMs, as @shinygames.uk has taken the reins at point points) for so long.

My work on my #Orktober project is coming to a middle. I have done most of the red and hazard striped panels now. Soon I will need to break out the enamels for rust effects. #nerdlings #warhammerCommunity #paintingWarhammer #warhammer40k
A Gorkanaut and Morkanaut, both now looking rather more painted than in previous skeets. They have red panels with white stripes, the morkanaut (right) has some energy weapon bits painted bright blue, and new for this skeet, both have a plethora of panels painted with hazard stripes. The stripes are asymmetrically applied, with litte rhyme or reason (the entire mech is hazardous).

Should I have gone to bed an hour ago? Yes. Did I instead start painting in some of the details? Also, yes. It was absolutely worth it though to help push past my fear that I had painted too many bits red. Next step: hazard stripes.
The same models again, but this time there are even more details. Many of the red panels now sport white stripes, and the right hand model (the morkanaut) now has turquoise bits where the energy weapons glow.

I have the first non-airbrushed layers down, they are going to be more painted than the stompa but I am enjoying where the models are taking me.

The Morkanaut is complete! Significantly uprated from the core kit, the kustom mega blasta has moved up to the top, giving it two arms to pick up and grab interesting scrap for the mek. #orktober #nerdlings #warhammerCommunity #warhammer40k

Orktober continues apace. The Gorkanaut is (final greebling aside) complete. The Morkanaut build has started, and I've finished the motion platform, rebuilt the engine to look mekier, and started on some of the more incidental detail. #nerdlings #warhammerCommunity #orks #orktober #warhammer40k
The beginning of the morkanaut. From this angle, you can see that the horns traditional on an orkanaut have been replaced with I-beam spikes. A mek gun has been placed on top of the mech, with some pistons holding it up just visible below. A forest of tesla gubbins peak out from behind the mech.Shown from behind, there are many more modifications for the morkanaut. The regular fuel tank has been replaced with a larger one. The engine has been almost completely rebuilt with a spread of tesla towers and power coils. From this position too the usual hatch has been removed and boxed in to provide additional support for the gun platform.A heavily converted Gorkanaut, unpainted. It has two stubby arms with multi-barreled gatling guns, and rockets mounted to the outside of those. It has a small recessed machine gun turret on top, and more machine guns on one shoulder. In front, it has a spiked roller, which is attached to chain hoists to raise it so the front (which is a door to a troop compartment) may open. The same gorkanaut, but from behind, showing that each arm gun has an ork piloting(?) it. THe engine has also been upgraded with more exhausts and more pipe.

The latest Pikachu did arrive today, though. The 2026 spooky season Pikachu. She is wearing a poncho in autumnal colours with a pumpkin Pikachu broach and a fascinator that looks like a stack of pancakes (or maybe those weird soufflé pancakes you get in Japan).
A collection of plush Pikachus, all themed around autumn and Halloween. At the back is a mimiku costumed Pikachu, three pumpkin themed Pikachus, a witch and a wizard, a Pikachu wearing a spooky hat carrying an invite to a Halloween party, and the newest addition, a female Pikachu wearing a Halloween themed poncho wearing a fascinator in the shape of a stack of pancakes.

No, I don’t understand what the pancakes are about either.

What is the difference between transport packaging and sales packaging? Basically, would you put the packaging on the shelf in a shop or is the packaging purely for the purpose of protecting the item in transit? So a cardboard box, an unbranded grab seal bag, a bubble mailer, all transport.
Sales packaging is defined in the PPWR as “packaging conceived so as to constitute a sales unit
consisting of products and packaging to the end user at the point of sale”, whereas transport
packaging is defined as “packaging conceived so as to facilitate the handling and transport of one
or more sales units or a grouping of sales units, in order to prevent damage to the product from
handling and transport”.
By definition, transport packaging therefore serves to transport one or more sales units and does
not replace the underlying sales packaging. If sales packaging is also used for transportation
purposes, the packaging remains part of the packaged product supplied to the end user, and it is not
placed on the market as empty transport packaging.
Therefore, even if the packaging also performs a transport function, the packaging is still sales
packaging for the purposes of establishing who the producer is. The producer would be the
economic operator that fills the packaging and makes the packaged product available for the first
time in the Member State concerned. Nevertheless, the assessment should always be carried out on
a case-by-case basis, taking into account the packaging's design, intended use and the specific
circumstances of the supply chain.

This is the final PPWR posting from me (I hope, today at least) but dear reader, the government promised to produce guidance for UK exporters "in good time" for the Entry Into Force date so that UK exporters could understand their obligations. They come into force on Wednesday. There is no guidance
28. When can we expect finalised UK guidance to be published?
Guidance will be published in good time to ensure compliance. We are working to finalise
timelines and will provide further information following publication of the implementing
act.
