Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 23/09/2026The Senate ruins your brain. I'm watching Klobuchar's campaign for governor in MN and one thing that's clear to me is that she has no fucking idea who her actual constituents are anymore. 000
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Everybody loves the 2nd amendment until its implications get your guy killed. It's okay though, Charlie absolutely thought his death was the price we pay for freedom. 010

Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I was a freshman in college taking a shower when the first plane hit. Some guys were talking about it in the bathroom. By the time I was eating breakfast I saw the other plane hit live. I grew up with terrorism and bomb threats, so it impacted me less than others. The harder part of the day for me.. 100

Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 07/09/2026It has been fifty years coming as a result of wide deregulation in the 70's and 80's. The AMA used to be able to police medicine, but SCOTUS took its teeth on Free Association and antitrust grounds. Vitamin co's have had very little regulation since the 80s. Pyramid schemes are legal. 000
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 06/09/2026The problem with WMDs in Iraq was that it was so obviously motivated reasoning. Iraq might have had them, North Korea absolutely DID have them and yet NK was never a target. Why? Because they actually had the weapons in question. And no one was going to risk it. 100
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Extremely disappointing to find this out. I've been using them for years with my family. Think it's extremely interesting that their graphic design features interracial families but their politics are... whatever this is. 000
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 01/09/2026One of the internal contradictions of conservative male culture is that they venerate men as protectors and fetishize guns, without noticing that the guns make the men unnecessary. 041
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 01/09/2026One of the things that I used to really enjoy was hunting for art on the internet to use in my games. I would almost certainly be dead if I hadn't worn a helmet. Should you wear a helmet? Yes you fucking idiot. Should the state MAKE you? Probably not. Should it encourage you? Jesus Christ, yes. 010
Aaron Hammer @cityinahole.bsky.social · 26/08/2026This is incredibly dumb. I've seen bike crashes with helmets and without, and there's no comparison. It will not save you rolling under an F-350, but it could save your life when you're knocked off your bike and you skid on your head. A seatbelt isn't 100% protective either. 010
