“I collected bones from charnel houses; and disturbed, with profane fingers, the tremendous secrets of the human frame. In a solitary chamber, or rather cell, at the top of the house, and separated from all the other apartments by a gallery and staircase, I kept my workshop of filthy creation." 🧪🫀⚗️

In light of some conversations in upcoming installments, I wanted to bring this one back around. I've been sitting on an idea for another yin-yang sort of piece similar to this. I've gotta get on that. Installment 4 of chapter 3 coming today at noon EST! #illustration #art #oc #ocsky

I had a very wild bout of hyperfocus time distortion this morning. I have a thing on my phone that dings every half hour to keep me on track. I spent 2.5 hours writing, and it truly seemed that the ding went off every few minutes. Every time, I was like, "NO way that's the half hour notification."

Good things: - I think I've found a pillow situation that agrees with my neck. - I made applesauce with fresh macs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and maple syrup. Its scrumptiousness may have disrupted the fabric of reality.

Kind of want to make some character portraits today. I also kind of want to start another large illustration piece, but I think that character portraits would offer a kind of near-instant gratification that I could use right about now.

I call this one, "Fig! Please, no, not again." Fig is many things: A bestial guardian of the forest, a source comedic relief amid the horrors, a snuggly little guy. And, of course, hungry. Always hungry. #illustration #art

Figuring out which comfort media to put on today, I considered Rocky Horror. Decided I wasn't in the mood. Put on Over the Garden Wall instead. A bit later, I was reminded that this also includes Tim Curry (he voices Aunty Whispers).

I'm crawling out of graphic design mode now that all of the social graphics for the upcoming chapter are DONE. Should I treat myself to an illustration before getting back into writing mode? I think so. Throwback to this scene with Zander from chapter 2. #illustration | #art | #oc | #ocsky

I just love a character who is emotionally messed up beyond belief, yet radiates a certain joviality; almost theatrically so; intentionally, just to spite the inner demons. Like, "fuck what happened, being vibrant is within my control and imma do it." #oc #ocsky #worldbuilding
