My brain was hell-bent on finding a side quest yesterday. Had five minutes where I thought I'd definitely jump into the inktober prompts, though I quickly accepted that that's not feasible. Then, I dove deep into the rabbithole of Kindle modding, with the goal of making my Kindle a word processor.

“I collected bones from charnel houses; and disturbed, with profane fingers, the tremendous secrets of the human frame. In a solitary chamber, or rather cell, at the top of the house, and separated from all the other apartments by a gallery and staircase, I kept my workshop of filthy creation." 🧪🫀⚗️

In light of some conversations in upcoming installments, I wanted to bring this one back around. I've been sitting on an idea for another yin-yang sort of piece similar to this. I've gotta get on that. Installment 4 of chapter 3 coming today at noon EST! #illustration #art #oc #ocsky

An excellent example of why I need these systems that might look bonkers crazy to neurotypical folks.

I had a very wild bout of hyperfocus time distortion this morning. I have a thing on my phone that dings every half hour to keep me on track. I spent 2.5 hours writing, and it truly seemed that the ding went off every few minutes. Every time, I was like, "NO way that's the half hour notification."

Good things: - I think I've found a pillow situation that agrees with my neck. - I made applesauce with fresh macs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and maple syrup. Its scrumptiousness may have disrupted the fabric of reality.

Kind of want to make some character portraits today. I also kind of want to start another large illustration piece, but I think that character portraits would offer a kind of near-instant gratification that I could use right about now.

I call this one, "Fig! Please, no, not again." Fig is many things: A bestial guardian of the forest, a source comedic relief amid the horrors, a snuggly little guy. And, of course, hungry. Always hungry. #illustration #art

Figuring out which comfort media to put on today, I considered Rocky Horror. Decided I wasn't in the mood. Put on Over the Garden Wall instead. A bit later, I was reminded that this also includes Tim Curry (he voices Aunty Whispers).
