It does suck that "AI" now means both generative AI (boo hiss) and a whole basket of incredibly useful machine learning techniques.

this is literally fraud. You did not sign authors with the promise to pay their due if you made a profit, you committed to pay them for their work that they delivered and has sold. At the very least this publisher needs to be blacklisted, but hope there are also legal consequences somehow

PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME OMG Ethan (game dev): drops a magical-girl inspired plot with grown up magical girls, lore on our favorite protagonists, teases about the war on the northern border, refuses to elaborate, leaves. (Also still screaming about that Dylan and Chad interaction)

So, uh, weren’t you claiming you didn’t strike because you were living paycheck to paycheck? If you weren’t being paid all this time, why did you still work? Surely it wouldn’t have made a difference if you went on strike or not if you weren’t getting any income from Genshin in the first place?

Also…psst, not all women like romantasy and find the “spaces” it creates to be far *less* welcoming compared to the sff of our elder sisters (who have always been there, claiming the space) and contemporaries who are doing something different, less trendy/mainstream, and yes, still sexy. 🤗

kind of sad the maison b group's being broken up, but with how they were talking about how they feel like maison b doesn't really have anything for them anymore it might be for the best (kind of sad for fans of Maison B though, to see that the members don't have any faith in the group anymore)

congrats sena and aguang for moving up to C!!! honestly, I'm shocked at how fast aguang has improved, he's been studying for like... a month and half? and he's already in C class! I thought he'd be eliminated just because he's too green.

Sera @cinnamonsera.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

Elimination and class drop announcements make me cry... they've worked so hard... they don't deserve it honestly I wish they could all never move to Class F

I realize a lot of my recent posts about chuang are on the negative side but I do really like the show and the contestants! I guess I've just sort of adopted the critical view of the judges lol

lucas not staying in A class was disappointing but not surprising, although I like him a lot he isn't especially good in areas other than singing

if yetao debuts, I hope they won't force him to cut back on the feminine and sexy parts of his personality :( besides the fact that yetao seems to LOVE that part of him, I really do think that mainstream media should embrace androgyny (also, he's 25, a grown ass man, he can do what he wants lol)

HUH did yetao dye his hair again I guess that specific interview section was filmed a bit later? it's kind of jarring to flip through black and blonde hair (he looks great either way)

I hope Xiong improves his singing and dancing enough for A class... he's WASTED as a visual if he doesn't debut

I love yetao and he's been my favorite since chuang 2021... but does anyone think the editing on him is a bit much? it feels like the editors are obviously TRYING to make him the center and it's getting a bit annoying. (also, they're really pushing the bambam/yetao ship huh)

GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references. Workers at a Philly Whole Foods have just released the results of their union election—AND THEY WON!!!! 130-100, baby! 🦅 Philadelphia is now home to the first unionized Whole Foods Market in the U.S. One down, 500 more to go!

Region 4-Philadelphia conducted a ballot count today for 297full-time and part-time employees at Whole Foods in Philadelphia, PA to vote on union representation by UFCW Local 1176 Keystone State.

Workers voted 130 to 100 for union representation. There were three challenged ballots that won’t be counted, because they aren’t determinative to the outcome of the election. The employer must begin bargaining in good faith with the union. Parties have five business days to file objections to the election. If no objections are filed, the result will be certified.

Total number of eligible voters: 297
Void ballots: 1
Votes for union: 130
Votes against representation: 100
Challenged ballots: 3
Total valid votes cast: 233

WHO comments on United States announcement of intent to withdraw

The World Health Organization regrets the announcement that the United States of America intends to withdraw from the Organization.
WHO plays a crucial role in protecting the health and security of the world’s people, including Americans, by addressing the root causes of disease, building stronger health systems, and detecting, preventing and responding to health emergencies, including disease outbreaks, often in dangerous places where others cannot go.

The United States was a founding member of WHO in 1948 and has participated in shaping and governing WHO’s work ever since, alongside 193 other Member States, including through its active participation in the World Health Assembly and Executive Board. For over seven decades, WHO and the USA have saved countless lives and protected Americans and all people from health threats. Together, we ended smallpox, and together we have brought polio to the brink of eradication. American institutions have contributed to and benefited from membership in WHO.

With the participation of the United States and other Member States, WHO has over the past 7 years implemented the largest set of reforms in its history, to transform our accountability, cost-effectiveness, and impact in countries. This work continues.

We hope the United States will reconsider and we look forward to engaging in constructive dialogue to maintain the partnership between the USA and WHO, for the benefit of the health and well-being of millions of people around the globe.

Proof of life post. The fourth Jisei chapter, Shinsei. Working on the exploration engine right now. Ren'py gets so many quality of life updates that every game of this series, I've had to rewrite the exploration screens with new (better) code. #ScreenshotSaturday #VNDev #VisualNovel #IndieGameDev

Game screencap: Naoki from the visual novel Shinsei. A young man with long hair stands in a bath house. Across from him, another man clad in night-vision goggles and carrying a small electronic box states "Cute. No, I'm searching for evidence of ghosts."
