When I started teaching Persepolis, W was giving signs of invading Iran. Since then, there's never been a semester where it has not felt just as relevant and vital. Thank you, Marjane Satrapi.

Cartoon shared by a student one semester illustrated in the style of Persepolis, featuring herself, me (the teacher), and Satrapi (the author)

A few shots from the Persepolis print we screened last year for Women’s History Month (a whole weekend of Strictly Brohibited programming). Revisiting this on the big screen with a more expanded worldview (after first seeing it in college), such a memorable and impactful experience. What a loss…

Photo of JetBlue craft on the tarmac at Logan taken from terminal E, with a corner of a laptop screen in the foreground and a see-through selfie of a very tired rural juror.

Somehow I'm heading to #AWP. Never been to Baltimore. Consider rolling up on me (booth 555) and asking me about this image.

I’m just gonna sit out the whole AI kerfuffle. I’m just a big fan of people! They are so messy and weird and full of good gossip!
