In Bell, CA an entire community stood up against ICE, including the local police and the fire dept. The fire truck appears to not allow ICE vehicles to move forward nor remain and pushes forward to escort them out. A police car also helped with escorting. /

We should have a communal rug hanging beam, maybe at like the YMCA or something. When you got a rug that needs beating you can hang it up and any one that had a bad day can take a few swings. I do mean rugs but we have hung many things in the past. Heavy quilts, futons, fascists, etc. whatever.

I hate housechores but sometimes I find myself thinking we are losing an important art. Not in a tradwife way, but in a "dang the girls were onto something" way. Like taking your frustrations out on rugs, duvets, etc with a fun little rug beater. Sometimes you just got a hit something.

Basically any time protests “turn violent” it’s because the cops decided to start shooting at people. I learned this during Bloomberg here in NYC and in Boston during Trump I. Delighted to see other people learning this too but sorry it’s being learned through experience.

What we are seeing in Los Angeles right now with #NoKings is after several hours of a massive protest that was 100%, law enforcement—abruptly and without provocation—began firing tear gas, flash bangs and pepper balls at protesters. It was broadcast live on air. “Unrest” is on them.
