I am so happy he’s a Red right now, and I’ll be crushed when the Dodgers steal him for $1B to help them win another World Series when it comes to it.

Photographed NYC-based artist Shahzia Sikander's fantastic exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum, was privileged to meet her (she's wonderful), and was lucky enough to go to Cleveland to photograph her exhibit there for her, too. Seeing those images on Hyperallergic this morning is so satisfying.

Shahzia Sikander’s Transgressive Femininity
In the artist's works, a woman is at once a social subject pushing back against marginalization and a disruptive energy, a flow that transcends barriers.

Yeah, ending a relationship sucks, but have you ever made the difficult decision to unsubscribe from a podcast you used to love?

Stand up is one of my favorite things to listen to/watch, but I’ve never watched or listened to Kill Tony before. I decided to give the Netflix special a go, and I made it 12 mins before turning it off. I know this isn’t the benchmark for modern stand up, but I didn’t expect it to be this unfunny.

I've been using the same 2018 12-inch iPad Pro since it launched for drawing and light tasks. A $2K foldable iPhone without a stylus and a smaller screen doesn't appeal to me at this time. Considering how Apple missed the mark with Vision Pro, I doubt iPad is doomed. 9to5mac.com/2025/03/31/s...

Steve Jobs called iPad “a third category of device,” but what happens when foldable iPhones can operate as both smartphone and tablet?

Finally decided to watch Andor after three years of not watching Andor. (It came out when I was too into Trek to care about Wars). The fact they named one of the main characters “Tim” instead something like Slurd or Togwarth or Yanz immediately puts it at the top of my list.

As a fan of I Think You Should Leave and as a bigger fan of Star Trek, I was wholly unprepared for the Sam Richardson reveal in this Section 31 movie (yes, finally getting around to watching it).

Keep thinking about how the brand with famously bad self-driving cars is now the darling of the dumbest, worst people in America, and how this new problem is likely going to result in killing people who never wanted any of this.

Never paid much attention to ‘Multiple Exposure’ mode on the nikonzf. Today, though, I played around with it, and I think it might be a nice tool to catalyze creativity when inspiration fails. 🧵(1 of 5)

Number of Shots: 2
Overlay Mode: ADD, AVG, LIGHT, DARK

Back at the hotel for the evening, but had a nice time walking around #Cleveland this evening.
A statue in the foreground bathed in golden light with two skyscrapers in the distance. This scene is on Hope Memorial Bridge in Cleveland, OHA train bounding around a slight curve with a ray of golden sunset light splitting in in the middle of the two cars. Beneath the rails is a low wall with graffiti painted on it surrounded by wispy dead grasses. In the distance is an urban scene with brick buildings and a small bell tower. An evening scene of an empty corner of Little Italy in Cleveland. On the right is a corner pizzeria shop with plate glass windows that look into a cozy atmosphere. To the left is a car at an intersection with an ornate brick building behind it. This is the corner of Murray Hill and Cornell in Cleveland, OH.The Cleveland Museum of Art seen in the far distance with a pristine lake between the viewer and the museum. Geese are scattered across the grass in the foreground, and two rows of concrete steps cascade outward from the viewer toward the left and right sides of the frame in the foreground. The whole scene is during sunset, so everything looks warm and serene.

The Starway Drive-In sign. Opened in 1946 with spots for 433 cars, the Starway Drive-In was one of the first of its kind in KY. As the fate of Americana drive-ins took hold over the following decades, it sold in 1991, and a small amusement park opened there in 1994. Today, it's no longer in use.

Watching ‘Museum Alive’ with Sir David Attenborough, and I can’t get over the way the museum is lit on this show. It’s like an old episode of Unsolved Mysteries mixed with Jim Henson’s The Storyteller. It’s dramatic and soothing, with a color palette that reminds me of childhood. #NaturePBS

It's weird how much I miss Pizza Tower's Fields Ertel location (now demolished). I think I went there for the last time in the late 2000s while on a date. I don't remember it being especially good, but the aesthetic was oddly special.

Really can't stand people who endlessly bitch about the cold/snow, but yesterday I saw a photo of my backyard all green and full of flowers from June of last year, and I've been unable to think of much else. Very eager to resume digging in the soil and tending to a garden again.

Doom scroll break: If you have $5, you can get an original, small piece of artwork if you email ArtWorks and ask to use the Art-O-Mat vending machine (a repurposed cigarette machine) in the lobby of their headquarters.
A blue vending machine with the words Art-O-Mat emblazoned on the front. On the face of the vending machine is a stylized figure with three arms reaching for three pieces of small artwork that each have a pair of angel wings attached to them.
