I’ll post more photos later, but I wanted to share these cars right away. The American Sign Museum in Cincinnati might well be my favorite museum.

To gain financial security, American famlies need to invest less in cars and the highway economy and instead use those savings to invest in housing which generally appreciates over time.

Every fifteen or so years, riverboats which ply the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers gather at Cincinnati's Public Landing for a four-day festival of cruises and food. Here's what that looks and sounds like.

Letting the health care tax credits expire would devastate American families — and we’re making that crystal clear by giving you the data. We’ve built graphics showing how much costs would rise in every GOP district. Let’s start with Mike Johnson (R-LA):

Cincinnati made its modern streetcar free in 2020. Ridership has doubled. In May, it had the highest ridership of 65 transit routes serving the Cincinnati region, 7 of which run 24/7. It is 5X more productive than an average Cincinnati bus measured by passengers per vehicle per hour.

Pretty interesting how everywhere Trump has business associates and/or business interests did fine today: the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Turkey, the UK, Israel, El Salvador, Argentina, and of course Russia—which is full of people Trump wants to work with in the future. Only China got screwed.

Former Nebraska state senator Mike McDonnell based his campaign for mayor of Omaha on killing that city's $459 million modern streetcar project, now under construction and completely financed with local funds. He lost to Mayor Jean Stothert, the streetcar's biggest supporter.

Cincinnati will narrow the I-75 ROW, put it in a trench, and re-establish part of the street grid over I-75 to reconnect the CBD with the land west of the freeway - similar to what we did with I-71 on the south side of the CBD in the late 1990's.

Fifty years ago, a transport revolution started in #Zürich. #Switzerland rejected urban freeways. Zurich decided not to build a metro. It began building an S-Bahn commuter train network. And they gave *absolute* priority to trams over cars in center of Zurich. The result? 🇨🇭🚋🧵

Cincinnati has one of the very best modern streetcars in the U.S., along with Kansas City, Portland and Tucson. Connects all the dots in the urban core. Reinvestment along the line way ahead of projections.

Cincinnati's modern streetcar became free in 2020. Ridership doubled. 10-15 min headways. Ranks #2 in ridership among 85 regional routes. Leads in pax/veh/hour by a huge margin. Public cost per pax less than Metro bus. City gets paid from massive reinvestment/ihigher tax yields along the line.

Among 85 regional transit routes, Cincinnati's modern streetcar finished second in 2024 ridership and first in passengers per vehicle hour and passengers per route mile. Diverse ridership & massive redevelopment all along the route which unifies the urban core. A good model for other cities.
