When I grow up I want to be my cat

A brown tabby cat laying on his back, eyes shut, passed out, belly on full display, shamefully relaxed

What in the actual fuck is Trump talking about with the astronauts, I cannot even.

Kinda playing Pokopia with the same focus as I did Animal Crossing during covid. Nintendo has some really good timing.

A little Pokopia hot springs spa with a gazebo and mushroom lighting.

Interior of a Pokopia hot springs spa featuring Scizor, Vaporeon, Machop, and Cormorant. There is a waterfall in the top right leading to the large pool and vines around the outside.

www.budgetbytes.com/chorizo-swee... is on deck tonight, but I subbed out Trader Joe's soyrizo (because I was there). This is such a cozy food and it reheats like a boss for the leftovers.

Chorizo Sweet Potato Skillet

It only takes one skillet and a few ingredients to make this incredibly flavorful and filling Chorizo Sweet Potato Skillet.

I'm sort of paralyzed by trying to prioritize what groups/funds need help right now and I hate that I can't help everyone and also that I have to, because we shouldn't need to provide for funds to make sure our neighbors' rights are respected and that we are free to live as we want in our own skin.

He has been taking lessons from the cats on cute sleeping.

A big ol' dog with a sable coat doing a cat pose where he's folded up in a leg tuck with a big paw over his face and his nose smooshed into a blanket.

Got this great foam soap dispenser for the bathroom that dispenses with a wave of your hand! The only problem is that I have trained my brain to believe that hand-wave soap = hand-wave sink and I continue to flail at my home sink and just feel more stupid each time I do it.

In retrospect, I guess getting that FBSS in Lguk didn't really matter.

Only a shrimping honorable mention, but very cozy regardless.

Orange tabby cat on a red background. Cat is in a shrimp pose where the back leg is stuck out and the face is tucked, but the tuck-face is also a mitten because the cat is a polydactyl.

Just remembering how when Mr. Rogers died I heard it on the radio on the way to work and broke down at a stoplight and just cried in the parking garage for a while until I had to go in.

I love my chest freezer because it makes "oh god I have too much soup" into "yay, on-demand soup from past me!"

Having a hard time with Catherine O'Hara today. I basically grew up with her "presence" and she really always served as an example the kind of woman I really wanted to be. Smart, funny, kind, confident, and just comfortable being weird and true to herself.

I've listened to the Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks so many times that they've essentially become my emotional support soundtrack.

I think this is an aloe plant? Whatever it was, the birds were a big fan. Just spent a little time watching these buddies do their thing, they'd chirp and flit between the different stalks. The fog made everything feel more compartmentalized.

I think this is an aloe plant, with stalks topped with bright orange flowers. Little birds are perched on the flowers, presumably eating either nectar or the bugs attracted to the nectar. There is a foggy haze throughout.

Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

A holy image of J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, an aggressively salesman-seeming middle aged white guy clenching a pipe in his teeth.

The most dangerous and rewarding of snuggles, the dog butt.

An orange tabby cat snuggled against a tan dog butt. The dog's tail is fluffy and the cat is using it as a chin pillow.

Homemade chex mix is the best, especially if you make it with extra butter. Plus it's part of a balanced breakfast.

In an effort to actually listen to music that I like, I put on some music tonight instead of an audiobook like I usually do. Both dogs immediately started acting weirdly territorial. I put the audiobook back on and everything was back to normal.

osakaya-wagashi.com this place has introduced me to and ruined me for mochi. I already know the store ones are not this good… I had those already and just didn’t know how good this stuff could be

#severance is absolutely amazing, but I also love how it makes me think more about what I would do for my innie, and then it's easier for me do those things for myself.

A giant bag of spring mix lettuce laying on the floor next to an orange cat. This cat, for scale, is approximately 12 pounds of dumb cat.

Ready for polishing and then on to the next batch! I am really happy with how some of these came out.

Tumbled wet rocks, mostly shades of green and yellow, resting in a metal sieve on top of ceramic pellets

Next batch, week 1. Putting them back in heavy grit because I want smoother rocks. But zoom in on the rutile quartz in the upper left, I have great hopes for that one!
