This is Bug. He ate breakfast at 6 am. This picture was taken at 7 am. He stared at the place mat for a good 30 minutes waiting for second breakfast to magically appear. How do I break it to him that he is not a hobbit and is not entitled to second breakfast and must now wait until dinner?

We’ve added to our flock! Meet Lily, she is a 15 year old blue crowned conure. She has some disabilities, her toes are not in the normal configuration for a parrot. But she seems to get around okay. Sunny our DYHA is not so sure about having to share his humans again.

Last night my grandson hugged me, told me he loves me. He also said I’m the bestest. I said Well, you’re the bestest grand kid. He says No, you’re the bestest, because you take care of me! 1 day later, I’m still floating on cloud 9! My eyes are still misty with happy tears just thinking about it!
