Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 21/10/2025Anyway, sad times as her work really helped a lot of people figure stuff out when they really don't have those kind of spaces to reflect in 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 21/10/2025It reflects honestly how the current landscape tends to be pretty against any trans nsfw stuff that doesn't treat trans people as objects but as people. At least in very inclusive circles, it is valued. But imagine the trouble if an employer who isn't particularly civil found out you draw that 010 0

Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Rough times man. Fuck. And its not even a "i'm worried for me" its more so "the children are going to be hurt the most by this" Its fucked because I've experienced this before. It was pretty upsetting when the US considered invading my country a second time. 000 0

Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 14/08/2025The design and general vibe of Hypnospace Outlaw (and The Chowder Man) has to be experienced. Hell of a game really, the first time taking all of that in and seeing the detail in replicating the early internet is a crazy difficult feeling to capture! 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 14/08/2025Finding out there's a Hypnospace Outlaw sequel and not even 5 mins later learning it was cancelled a few days ago is the kind of brutality I lose sleep over on the daily ;-; 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(10) its a difficult spot, but i am sure there is some way to do it in a constantly connected environment. Nerdy nostalgia over a hentai book is insane work lmao 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(9) with how things are so quickly disappearing, places like the internet archive, theeye, and a few others are life savers. But for very specific stuff, it has objectively gotten a bit obscured thanks to how search engines work now. 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(8) it ultimately saved cash for later stuff like harddrives for archival lists after the DDS's first year was a success. Now though, i've ideas going about to bring a service like this back up. Like providing information offline of how to obtain HRT or generally important things to learn how to do. 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(7) in a way the DDS was pretty much my full on start into getting really into computers and programming. Especially compression algorithms as it helped lower the costs for a usb stick on both our side and the users. Better compression equals a lower need for bigger usbs. 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(6) titles like bondage fairies and alice in sexland were the highly requested stuff. We packaged them as an all in one thing with a reader that launches from the usb stick with a users requested titles as around this time, people really didn't know how to use tech and never really bothered to learn 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(5) from 2005 to my senior year in 2007 I somehow managed to not get expelled over doing this. Manga, Hentai (they were listed separately) video games and anime were what we carried along with special requests within reason of course. Had one for a textbook and was traded for data instead of cash. 010 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(4) the floppys only had outlinks to custom webpages. The consumer tech environment was very interesting at the time. "Oh! New way to deliver? Neat! Oh wait... Not everyone's phone has the ability to use QR codes. Whelp, I can't fully adopt that option. Here's that CD of hentai you ordered" lol 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(3) Data Delivery Service (or Digital Devil Saga for the real ones reading this ayyyyy) was a sneakernet kind of thing. We'd post a list of categories and stuff and the people in the know would order data through us and we'd deliver it on usb, CD, or on a very rare occasion floppy disk 000 0
Quinn~ @cicadademons.bsky.social · 26/07/2025(2) So around 2004 (haha fuuuuuuck) around the time of faster internet, I found myself in a particularly advantageous position. Most of my peers did not have great internet or internet at all in some cases. Thus my obsession with cyberpunk and the cyberia counterculture at the time became the DDS. 000 0
