Kinda feel like they're priming users to expect higher prices going forward even though RAM will start coming down by early 2028. Obvs also depends on data center priority bottlenecks. At current rate, there'll be an oversupply in some of these by 2030. USA-based factories operational now & soon:
Chart of USA-based factories:

Name State Product Year
Texas Instruments TX MCU 2026
Intel Foundry (Fab 52 & 62) AZ CPU 2027

Amkor Technology AZ PKG 2028
TSMC (Fab 21 Phase 2 & 3) AZ GPU 2030

Every time a new list drops, it's always the usual assholes, sprinkled with a handful of unexpected yet not at all surprising other assholes you immediately lose any last shred of respect (you might have had) for.

While the world’s eyes are on fashion’s biggest night, we’re turning ours to the garment, retail, and warehouse workers who keep the industry running. From true love found on the picket line to a free tailoring school out of a Brooklyn basement — meet the New Yorkers who make it all possible.

Wish I could fake enjoying the Met Gala this year, but my appetite for displays of conspicuous consumption in this end-stage capitalism timeline just simply isn't there. I love fashion though, so I'll be enjoying all the creations for weeks to come in all my niche communities.

The way people throw the word ‘algorithm’ around whilst having no understanding whatsoever of what one is, or what it does, should be studied, tbh. Years of hearing that “evil” algorithms are to blame for every social ill, has created a special kind of brain rot.

Would AI be viewed negatively if we had UBI to offset reductions in workforce? What about if it operated entirely on energy renewables, and even offset non-commercial energy costs by using excess heat to power homes for free? What about if AI were used to systematically remunerate creator sources?
