In the first panel, Pomni stands inside Jax’s mindscape, holding the key to the final door. She looks apprehensively toward the other circus members and says, “Uh, guys? I know you mean well, but... I really don’t think we should ALL go in here.”

In the second panel, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, and Zooble stand behind Pomni. Ragatha strikes an encouraging “we can do this!” pose, while Kinger, Gangle, and Zooble give Pomni reassuring thumbs-ups and smiles. Ragatha says, “Don’t worry, Pomni. We can help Jax, too! We weren’t there for him before, but we’ll be there for him this time! We’re all in this together, right?” Pomni looks back at them uncertainly.

In the third panel, the scene jumps to the next day. Caine flies into view with a guilty expression and begins to say, “Hey, guys... I just wanted to say that I’m really sor-”

In the fourth panel, Caine abruptly stops when he sees what happened. All six human characters have now abstracted. Jax looks peeved, Pomni looks exhausted, Ragatha looks nervous, Gangle is sniffling fearfully, and Zooble is comforting Gangle despite being visibly annoyed about their own predicament. Kinger looks up cheerfully at Caine and says, “Oh! Hi Caine! :)” Caine simply floats there in stunned silence.
