Many years ago we found a way to keep the kids entertained whilst waiting for food in cafes was to assign each of them an emergency service and they got points when that service went past. We’re on the A1. There’s a lot. As they got older, they worried that parents didn’t have a service to look for

The thing vinted solved over eBay was integrating delivery- they don’t just use Evri, it’s down to a choice by the seller as to what drop off points they want onto use, and then the buyer can choose from those options. Youngest always complains about sellers forcing certain couriers.

Had to pick myself off the floor at the front and dust off smashed glass before going to check on the babies. Meanwhile car driver forced his way onto the bus to continue the argument. I just gave up and went home. I’d had to wait for three buses to get the pram on in the first place.

But our driver was still swearing at the car so didn’t see and drove into the stopped bus at about 10mph, smashing the whole front of the bus in. I’d *just* secured the pram with my twins in and was coming up the aisle to pay and ended up making that journey a little faster than I’d intended.

So our driver was leaning out his window arguing with the car driver when the front bus finally moved and we all started to accelerate. But then then friend of the person refusing to pay decided to force the doors to get off to be with their friend, so the bus in front stopped.

Was on a bus once that crashed into the bus in front as we pulled away from the bus stop. Bus in front had someone refusing to pay the fare, so our bus attempted to pull around them but a car overtaking took exception loudly by calling our driver a cunt.

Well that was fun. Our cat went out the rooflight above our bed, found another cat, had a fight, ran back in and I got attacked by the other cat as I shut the window. Washing my hand where it scratched me I passed out and came to on the bathroom floor drenched in sweat. And all before 6:30am. FFS

This got me thinking about what languages I’d learnt last century (posted elsewhere) but also if I’d ever go back to ANY of them. Probably not, although modern IDEs probably make it so much easier. And HyperCard was so much fun.

Was looking for clips of the Tomorrows World episode where they shot some new bullet proof glass, and instead found a clip from 1969 where the inventor of a bullet proof body shield happily wore it whilst two guys shot him repeatedly with hand guns from a couple of metres away. Live. On TV.
