Just got back from the garage roof after an attempt of trying to get snow and ice from the pv modules. Of course, now it started snowing again.
Two-photo collage of a flat garage roof with photovoltaic (PV) modules in winter conditions. Top image shows the panels fully covered with a thin layer of snow and ice. Bottom image shows the same panels after a partial cleaning attempt, with some modules and sections cleared to reveal dark solar cells while patches of snow and ice remain. Mission accomplished! 📏🕯️✅
An Advent wreath on a wooden table with four red candles arranged in a straight row, each candle noticeably taller than the one before it, creating an even, step-by-step height progression from left to right. The candles are lit and set in a metal tray decorated with red ornaments and silver accents. A Christmas tree and rustic living room furniture are visible softly in the background.

A version of 'git status', but it would be 'dev status' and it would tell you how far ahead the code is of your understanding of it.

Signs that there's at least one nerd in your household: The proposal is on the table to create commonly used documents (and templates) in $markupLanguage and put them in git, so everybody can use their own version, and even could fork the repo.
comic book style illustration in the artistic style of Asterix and Obelix. Inside a rustic house, a stone sink is overflowing with dirty dishes and bones. A small warrior with a winged helmet (resembling Asterix) points accusingly at a large, floating parchment scroll. Next to him, a large warrior in striped pants (resembling Obelix) looks guilty and sweats nervously. The scroll displays a computer terminal log titled "$ git blame KITCHEN_SINK.log". The code entries read: "e3a1b2 (OBELIX 2 hours ago) Left spoon with boar grease" and "7f9c01 (ASTERIX 5 mins ago) Ignored the spoon".

Please tell me it’s totally normal to light only the second candle, because the height difference between candle 1 and candle 2 is clearly bigger than between candle 2 and candle 3!
**ALT text:**
Four red Advent candles are arranged in a row on a decorative metal tray with silver stars, red baubles, and fairy lights on a wooden table. The first candle on the left is the shortest and heavily melted, the second candle is slightly taller and lit, and the third candle is noticeably taller and smooth; the fourth candle on the right is the tallest. In the softly blurred background, a cozy living room with wooden furniture, plants, and warm decorations creates a calm, festive atmosphere.

The three black-and-white photos show him posing indoors: arms outstretched in the first, a close-up under the hood in the second, and standing straight with the hood up in the third. The overall atmosphere is dark and unsettling, resembling a creepy or horror-themed scene.

Changing wheels 🛞 on the car 🚗 has only to be done twice a year, and it's one of those activities I would like to procrastinate on for months, although it's done in less then 45 minutes. ⏲️ 🙈 Luckily, for this autumn it's now done.
Four stacked car tires with rims stored indoors against a white wall, two of them marked by yellow autumn leaves stuck to the rubber surface. The tires are slightly dirty, resting on a tiled garage floor near a closed door.

Wednesday, 5 pm: It feels like I'm close to solve this coding issue. Wednesday, 5:30 pm: I quit, I've been at the desk for 10 hours, and I have other things to do. Thursday, 9 am: Two more hours into fixing the issue, and it feels like I'm nowhere close to solving it!
A four-panel comic from CommitStrip humorously depicting programmers debugging.

1. Panel 1: A bearded developer celebrates, arms raised, shouting, “Booom! Look at that! Who’s the Jedi master here?!” while his frustrated coworker sighs, “Ugh…” at his desk.
2. Panel 2: Another colleague enters, asking, “What’s going on?” The seated developer replies, “We’ve been stuck on a bug for 2 hours…” The bearded developer wears a party hat and pops confetti.
3. Panel 3: The newcomer asks, “…and he fixed it? Well done.” The seated developer responds, “No no, not quite…” as the bearded one dances joyfully under party decorations.
4. Panel 4: The bearded developer says, “Ahh!! It feels great to finally make progress!” The seated one explains, “The bug is still there, but now the error message is different.” The newcomer looks thoughtful, saying, “Hmm…”

Day 7 as a first timer on a Mac. This is my life now! 😱😂
Screenshot of a productivity setup for keyboard shortcuts research.
The screen is divided into four quadrants showing multiple browser tabs and a text editor:

- Top left: A dark-themed text editor (likely VS Code) with a markdown file titled “keyboard.” It lists keyboard shortcuts for IntelliJ, Fork, and Chrome (e.g., `⌥⌘P`, `⌘SHIFT+R`), and includes links to Unicode character references for macOS.
- Top right: A web page titled “The most common Unicode Characters on macOS” from *adoc.studio*, showing a clean white table with Unicode symbols (arrows, Apple logo) and their codes (e.g., `U+F8FF`, `U+2190`, `U+2191`).
- Bottom left: A JetBrains documentation page for IntelliJ IDEA titled “Coding assistance,” listing predefined macOS keymap shortcuts like “Basic Completion (`Ctrl+Space`)” and “Reformat Code (`⌥⌘L`).”
- Bottom right: An Apple Support page in German, titled “Ausschneiden, Kopieren, Einsetzen und andere häufig verwendete Kurzbefehle” (Cut, Copy, Paste, and other common shortcuts), showing common macOS commands such as `⌘X`, `⌘C`, and `⌘V`.

Random thought: Lots of people have different understanding of the same terms. Working in a team, we sooner or later (hopefully) come to common understanding of the terminology used. In a conference talk, explaining what you mean by certain terms is crucial so the audience understands your message!
Comic-style scene inspired by Asterix: a Gaulish speaker wearing a winged helmet stands on a wooden stage during a village conference, pointing seriously at a sign that says “Concept – Feature – Model.” In the audience, three villagers look confused, each imagining something different when hearing the words: one thinks of an axe, another of a mountain, and another of a blonde woman. Speech bubbles show them asking “Feature?” and “Model?” The image humorously illustrates how people can misunderstand the same terms and the importance of shared definitions.
