Are you a fantasy lover, looking for something new? How about a low fantasy series with a curious FMC, an animal character or three, several mythical creatures, sorcery and old curses, new friends, and action and adventure aplenty. Available on Kindle, KindleUnlimited, and in paperback.

In 1598, Frances Trigge donated the princely sum of £100 to St Wulfram’s Church in Grantham. On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to explore the astonishing Frances Trigge Chained Library, the oldest public library in England. It’s well worth a visit. #LincsConnect #History

For #FontsOnFriday, the fantastic early Norman font in St Petroc's Church, Bodmin. Such wonderful scrolls and beasts.
For all four photographs: A stone font is supported by a short, thick, column at its base and a taller column on each corner. All columns rest on an octagonal base. At the top of each column is a winged human head. The body of the font is intricately carved with interlaced strands of foliage above a leafy stem.In this view the font is seen from the west, with the church behind, decorated with Christmas trees.A view of the font from one of the corners. At upper centre of the photograph is one of the winged heads.A detail of one of the sides of the bowl. Below the interlaced foliage, and on either side of the leafy stem which grows from the base, is an animal shown in profile with pricked-up ears. A leaflet in the church suggests that these animals represent evil.

Church of St Briochus, #Lezant #Cornwall A #medieval 12th Century font, with carved leaf emblems in the centre of each main face. Originally there were probably carved heads at each corner. There is suggestion that Cromwell’s soldiers damaged the font. #FontsOnFriday #Medievalsky
A solid octagonal stone font, with large leaf patterns on the main faces. However, the corners have been “sliced” away. Perhaps there were once carved stone heads on the missing corners.
