Valkyria chronicles had volleys of shots which fired random within a circular reticle. The smaller the reticle, the greater the odds every shot hits. Get Closer. This also means you have 5-7 Rifle shots or full SMG burst per action, which means more chances to hit. Rarely a complete miss like xcom

Honestly so far on a long term revisit it's just kind of crap. MGS4 is cashing in on lore & high budget cutscenes. Wealth was splashed to make this game for sure. Peel back the gloss and there's a clunky 3ps stealth game, corridor level design and 500 guns that feel like a fail state of stealth

much has been said over the past decade about MGS4 and it's reliance on cutscenes but it is reminding me it is seriously taking the piss. Start live gameplay, two steps, cutscene, run ten metres, cutscene, sneak about 30 metres, ten minutes of bs, codec call, another cutscene and new mechanics.
