Remember, tomorrow is our second, and last, big ticket drop. Three sittings, 9:10, 13:00 and 19:00. Make sure you have your F5 fingers ready if you want to make sure you bag one before they sell out. ti.to/steelcon/2026

Narrative Command has been in my head recently. Someone called for Starlink to be added to trains. Not satellite wi-fi, Starlink. Can you name another player in the space, especially on the consumer side?

I’m fascinated by the wireless charging on the new Cayenne. 11KW inductive charging over a gap of… 30cm? A quick Google suggests Qi wireless phone charging is 50% efficient. Wireless charging needs AC power to work too. So for the car to get 11KW you need to supply 22KW…

This is the answer to why computational photography can be a bad thing. It could see this as a mistake. Lower contrast, boost the shadows, even out the exposure and… ruin it.

Threads really is the rage bait social network, isn’t it? I mean, it’s completely not FBs MO at all, but I am swamped with cancel the BBC and cut council funding straw man arguments, mixed in with engagement bait nonsense.

I grew up with Elvis being Blue Suede Shows and pop like that. This shows his range, from to soft to booming, and the emotion into a beautiful song that ebbs and flows but has amazing crescendos and orchestration. A true #forgottenbanger www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBqH...

Who, in the mid-2000s would think to do an album of 60s inspired modern song covers? Perfectly captured and sometimes outshining the originals. I lived for early sneak versions on East Village radio, and the album holds up now. youtu.be/FYbp_vph_ig #forgottenbangers

We need a term that describes digital policy proposals that erroneously position technology as a magic solution. This week has been a week for it: age verification and digital ID are both white elephants that meet the "something must be done!" test without solving the underlying problem.
