Hereditary (2018) Yeah I just didn't really get this one. Started with great tension with family drama and seeing how fucked up everyone had been and was becoming. Maybe there were too many layers of metaphor for me or something, but the back half felt like it went completely off the rails tonally.

Obsession (2025) Welp. That's going down as probably the most disturbing movie I've ever seen.

It got hot enough that I was able to break out the shorts again and try a new thing with my top :3

Return to Silent Hill (2026) Somehow manages to neither do SH2 justice nor be its own thing. An onslaught of "hey remember this from the game? ;)" without honoring the substance of any of it. Very awkwardly tried to show multiple endings. Visually was... okay? Watch Silent Hill (2006) instead.

Recent vinyl acquisitions! I’ve spent the afternoon completely indulging and immersing myself in Vespertine, listening intimately on nice speakers, reading along with the lyrics, phone out of sight, feeling everything. Idk man björk just speaks to me on the deepest level.

Vinyls for “Abyss” by Chelsea Wolfe, and “Vespertine” by Björk

Gretel & Hansel (2020) On one hand, the writing and acting was often kinda bad, and I really didn't vibe with some soundtrack direction. On the other hand, it was so visually stunning that I was enraptured the whole way through, and I came away loving and feeling inspired by it despite it all.

The Handmaiden (2018) - extended cut WOW, what a wild ride of an erotic thriller. Explicitly broken up into 3 acts, each bringing a new twist to both the story and the emotional rollercoaster you're strapped into, as well as revealing more details about just how fucked up things are.

Cam (2018) Notable for what I assume is a pretty authentic depiction of what it's like to do camgirl work for a living, and for not painting it as shameful or done only out of desperation. Don't go in expecting the "supernatural" aspect of the premise to be explored much. It's not really the focus.

This album still fucks so hard and unfortunately is probably gonna be very topical for a while yet…

I’ve been wondering what to do with this microscopic PSO sticker I had, and it occurred to me it’s the perfect size to cover up the ugly logo of my new water bottle.

Photo of the sticker on my water bottle. The sticker is only about 1 inch tall and 1.5 inches wide

Leviticus (2026) Pretty straightforwardly about how queerness is demonized broadly, how organized religion wants everybody - but especially queer folks - to fear their queerness, and how that fear is a real persistent bastard. It's pretty good, if rather on-the-nose. However...

Vidocq (2001) From set design to stunts to camera angles to plot, this is sooo edgy and over-the-top and absurd. It’s awesome. Super oppressive setting of nasty industrial Paris on verge of the Second French Revolution, but with a grim fantastical horror slant. This was a blast.

Anxiety is telling me not to share an outfit pic two days in a row but yknow what? Fuck it.

Black slim pants tucked into thick heeled black leather boots. Grommet belt and chains on the pants. Dark blue denim cropped jacket with collar, unbuttoned and has a Phantasy Star Online Skyly section ID pin. Under the jacket is a white shirt with a sketchy black outlined design of a trashpunk rat girl, mascot of Ratnest in Chino, CO. Black leather collar around my neck. My ass looks great in this outfit.

Under the Skin (2013) Entranced pretty much the whole time, and left confused in the end. It's a confusion that has it stuck in my mind, though, rather than frustrating me. It's a quiet film, leaves all interpretation up to you. Didn't 100% click for me, but may reveal itself slowly after the fact.

Another outfit I put together that I’ve been enjoying quite a bit

Black button-up collared short dress with shirtsleeves. The buttons are white. The shoulders are slightly proofed. I have a black leather belt with silver grommets, worn high on the waist. Fishnets on my legs. Hefty doc marten boots with white stitching and laces, silver zippers and studs. Black wool socks with a small purple band.

Closeup of my accessories for the outfit. Silver chain choker made of small o-rings and spikes, worn under the collar so only a small amount is visible at my neckline. A longer silver necklace with a black moon filled with some blue and purple coloring and sparkles. A small star charm is also on it. Chain link earrings.

I'm looking for horror movie recs for next month! I generally prefer stuff from outside the US, but I'm not hardline about it. Image is some stuff I really enjoyed last year, for reference. (Note: I've seen + enjoyed a lot of Shiraishi and Kiyoshi Kurosawa, but certainly haven't seen everything)

Oh wow, Go Fish (1994) is so nice. Just this straightforward and authentic portrayal of queer life, love, community, and joy. Being set and filmed in the 90's makes it feel all the more potent.

It's my good buddy @pollyhead.bsky.social's birfday and she's coming to beat you up :D Here she is in an X-YZE style! Love you lots, Polly. You're cool as hell and a wonderful friend. I'm so glad to know you. 💜🧡

Pixel art of Polly's character. Hair is primarily red, with an orange side stripe and a red-purple undercolor. The blouse is pink with a dark red necktie. The skirt is purple. The leggings are white with subtle stitching. The shoes are black with a purple highlight. Since this is the assassin version of her character, the skin on the face and hands is white, the eyes are a very light gray, and the eyeliner wingtips are black.

Pin came in, looks pretty nice though a little smaller than expected. First attempt making a choker out of it, using one I already have. It’s okayyyy? But I think it’d look better with something else, and I don’t always want the collar look anyways.

This doujin starts off with Reimu chaining up Sakuya because she wants to become a vampire. Then she finds out Marisa *did* become a vampire. Reimu has a crisis but then decides she loves and respects them both too much to let that ruin their polycule. Happily ever after.
