Dark Fairy Rune's VGen Shop | @DarkFairyRune

I just realized I'm really close to getting a fancy star on my VGen shop. Not sure what that fancy star really does, but I imagine it'd help with visibility. So if anyone wants some royalty-free music/sfx, give it a look! I only need $7 more in sales to get the star. vgen.co/DarkFairyRun...

wow, the anni update/blog post must've done a lot to bump the game back up this high

Screenshot of the current most popular games on itch.io. My game X-YZE is at number 3.

I'm always the dumper, never the dumpee, and I remain on friendly terms with almost all my exes, in part because I worked to make those partings amicable & empathetic - even in cases where I was being mistreated or harmed. I removed myself from that harm. But here's the thing:

X-YZE 1-Year Retrospective

Today is the 1-year anniversary of X-YZE! 🎉 This game was the catalyst for some radical changes in my personal life. I wrote about those changes and what the game's story means to me now. chjolo.neocities.org/posts/2026-0...

Okay I got it, anything SNES or before is Nintendo, all early 3d is PlayStation, and everything HDMI or later is Xbox Just call your Ps5 an Xbox and your PS1 a PlayStation and your Genesis a Nintendo and finally nobody will be confused.

Went out this morning to splurge on some nice coffee beans and snack, only to realize I forgot my EBT card. Then I rushed in a panic to get ready for an appt only to realize I was arriving an hour early. Also noticed gas is 20¢ cheaper today than when I filled up last night. Big dumb day.

As much as I love björk I haven’t listened super closely beyond Vespertine, but I listened to Biophilia last night and maaaaaaaaan I love it. Might even surpass Homogenic as my favorite.

X-YZE's 1-year anniversary is this weekend! I'll be dropping a hefty update along with a retrospective blog post. I may also stream the game that day (Saturday, Sep 26) around 11am MDT. Show off the update, attempt a 1CC, maybe do some commentary during a story playthrough. So, be on the lookout!

Another thing that struck me about this is how, despite being sort of focused on a monogamous relationship, it portrays polyamory with just as much nuance and joy.

Oh wow, Go Fish (1994) is so nice. Just this straightforward and authentic portrayal of queer life, love, community, and joy. Being set and filmed in the 90's makes it feel all the more potent.

testing an upcoming x-yze update. the arbiter is such a bastard of a 1cc killer 😩
