Every single story about an LLM "going rogue" and "doing something it wasn't supposed to" has turned out to just be the LLM executing instructions badly. It has ALWAYS been instructed to do what it was doing, and they try to paint it messing up as having free will. It's just so stupid.

The story here is that they told Claude to fill out this form and not submit it, and Claude messed up the instructions and hit the submit button. That's "going rogue". It's so monstrously stupid to act like this is proof they're dangerous, it's just another story about LLMs being incompetent lol

The same thing happened when we adopted a kitten two years ago; came from the shelter with worms and giardia, and it took a month to get it all sorted. Once we did, though, it's been perfect health since, so really hope you get over this hump quickly.
