I’d say the images are not very true to life in form, especially the mallow. This one is even worse. The images shown simply aren’t Dudleyas or california buckwheats. The bees are mutant freaks. The leaves on the aster are wrong. The plants under the butterfly and bee aren’t natives.

There was an exhibition of 60 of J.M.W. Turner’s late, more impressionistic and abstract works at the Getty that has never left my brain. Getting to see paintings like the Blue Rigi, Sunrise, Snow Storm - Steam-Boat off a Harbour’s Mouth and Norham Castle, Sunrise in person was incredible.

This is my favorite AI slop they posted recently. Is that what that aster looks like? Sort of. Is that Dudleya edulis even a Dudleya? No. Is that a native buckwheat? Not even close. The salvia is wrong too. And let’s not talk about the bee with two or three abdomens and no wings.

There is a teenager in my life who is really into music and who has a handful of vinyl records who I chat with about music all the time.
