You know that type of film is my bread and butter but on top of everything you're saying - They're almost designed to last longer than the average studio film based purely on its choices and if they land 20 years on or if something changes in the air and it's better appreciated even 50 years on!

Watching it felt like it was the end of big budget big swing studio filmmaking and the death of a certain type of movie star driven cinema. I know that sounds like a exagerration but it was an experience (Esp in an empty cinema) There is one twist I have NO idea how you'll go with it

Seeing DIGGER on a gigantic ass IMAX screen in an almost empty cinema, It was very clear why this wasn't doing well but it was also clear that it's a fucking miracle that it even exists and got made in the first place.

He Got Game - Found it baffling, overlong and didn't go anywhere. This time around, found it thrilling and really involving? (Still problematic/baffling in parts) Summer of Sam - Used to adore. Found the characters horrid this time around & felt twice as long (Even though I LOVE what it's saying)

This is one of my mum and uncle's favourite films growing up. When I mentioned how bleak and rough it is, they were baffled. They were doubly surprised when I mentioned its rape scene and racism. They'd only ever seen the PG version and had no idea of its original form.

Great question - Minus how loud the film is, there are 0 jump scares. It's almost all gigantic action set pieces. No real horror tone or creepy set pieces. Oak Street is way creepier in comparison.
