Bandcamp Friday, folks - today is the day to be buying that item from your favourite artist, so they don’t get charged fees :-)

The hotel we’re currently staying in has a Samsung TV, and I just discovered a Samsung-only digital channel that is nothing but a crackling log fire. It’s the best thing I’ve seen on TV in ages. Much better (and more informative) than GB News, I’m sure.

Just cancelled my subscription to The Artist magazine, it’s becoming very obvious they want to shut it down and replace it with a £8.49/ month quarterly magazine. £36/ year to £62/ year in 2 years is ridiculous.

Ever been to a gig and spent half the show standing up to let people move back and forth with their beers, only to do the same later on when they inevitably need a piss? Bloody annoying, yes? That's why the beer ban at football is a good thing.

I’ve never liked Ed Sheeran, so the fact he’s been a nobber doesn’t really change anything for me.

I see Courtney LaPlante turned up on stage with Amy Lee and Poppy last night in London, and I'm insanely jealous of everyone who was there to see it. Probably the stand-out moment of the tour.

I was brought up in Hull, and I know where Terry Street is. I also remember the later Hull slum clearances that this poem alludes to, and how the city changed afterwards. I've always found this quite moving for that reason.

Apparently there's a trend among artists at the moment for income transparency. Here's the breakdown of my art side-hustle's income for August. Remember when I got made redundant and thought I could make a living from art?

The only memorable thing that ever happened on any of my birthdays was when the Berlin Wall came down. That was an infinitely happier event than the one Graeme is referring to, but probably as seismic on the world political stage. You don't forget birthdays like that.

Browsing the magazine rack in Morrisons today, I noticed that the art magazine I subscribe to is available in the shop with some free pencils. I, a subscriber, got no free pencils. This makes me sad. :-(

80-year old holding a banner saying 'I support Palestine Action': arrested as a terrorist. Actually turn up to an event dressed as a terrorist (uniformed protest is illegal under the 1936 Public Order Act, incidentally) - apparently the police are OK with this. When is this shit getting sorted?

Also - how can you see how many times someone has blocked you? Clearsky doesn't tell you that, so presumably there's another platform that does?

(Apologies to my normal pals for this post); The reason you were blocked 3 times is because I unblocked you more than once so I could read the increasingly unhinged stuff you were posting. The fact you're even counting is weird, and I genuinely think you should seek help, you're clearly unwell.

Got a Garmin 165 - fabulous price, they're clearly trying to shift old stock for the updated 170. First impressions: looks cheap compared to Apple Watch; bit fiddly; cost me £1.99 for a new face! Pro's: far more info than Apple, and very lightweight. It's going to take some getting used to.

I’ve noticed a fairly sizeable number of accounts ‘sharing’ other people’s art. Sometimes they include the artist’s name. ▪️I have never yet seen them include a link to buy, or a review of the work. ▪️They never >repost< artist’s work on here. It’s theft* & it’s incredibly offensive.

First time I've seen Terminator: Dark Fate. Just so I'm understanding properly: Arnie (T101/T800) kills John Connor and then goes off to live with a family as a curtain salesman called Carl in a remote country house? Riiiiiiight. :-/

Rugby League has produced some big names over the years, but ‘legends’ are hard to come by. Billy Boston was the best of them. First RL player to get a knighthood, 478 tries for Wigan. And a thoroughly decent bloke. The tributes are quite rightly coming in thick and fast today. RIP, Sir Billy.

Since I started running regularly in July, it's really obvious how lacking my Apple Watch is (especially the battery life). Has anyone on here switched from Apple to another brand? Thinking of a Garmin 170. All views would be gratefully appreciated!

Hayden Panettiere's death has me gutted. What an unbelievable talent, crushed by an industry that sexualized her since she was a kid, then made fun of her when she struggled with addiction. How many women are we gonna do this to?! RIP, you absolutely colossal talent who deserved so much more.💔💔
