I seem to remember that Norman Tebbit said all you had to do to be English was support the England Cricket Team:
Quote from Norman Tebbit from 1990 in the Los Angeles Times: "A large proportion of Britain's Asian population support South Asia when it plays England. Which side do they cheer for? It’s an informal test that I think has quite a lot of substance. Are you still paying devotion to where you came from or where you are?"

Tom and geography
Tom's tweet showing a Google Earth image of opposite sides of the earth that show that the pacific is big and the other side has land, it's captioned "Wild how from one angle the Earth is mostly land, and from another it's mostly water."

Here in London and the south of England we have a very successful invasive population of parakeets, they look great but like badly oiled axles.

Some Boys Make Fun of Elisha
23 Elisha went from that city to Bethel. He was walking up the hill to the city, and some boys were coming down out of the city. They began making fun of him. They said, “Go away, you bald-headed man! Go away, you bald-headed man!”

24 Elisha looked back and saw them. He asked the Lord to cause bad things to happen to them. Then two bears came out of the forest and attacked the boys. There were 42 boys ripped apart by the bears.

25 Elisha left Bethel and went to Mount Carmel and from there he went back to Samaria.

Was one of the stages where town planners decided to plant a tree in the road not on the pavement? That looks really dangerous for cyclists.

I don't think she'll last long, they're all backstabbing bastards and she only won the contest 17 to 15. Interestingly a potential contender named James Evans claimed he had majority support but decided not to stand, read into that what you will.

I love this little snippet from the article, they started their affair when his wife was pregnant or had just given birth.
Screenshot from the article with the text "The couple met while both working at Fox News and began an affair in 2016. At the time, Hegseth was married to his second wife, Samantha Deering, with whom he shares three children: Gunner, 16; Peter Boone, 14; and Rex, 10."

The start date of the affair (2016) and the age of the youngest son (10) are highlighted

Went to see Grace Pervades, there's a very funny bit towards the end with Henry Irving on his deathbed. Two younguns next to me had brought in their own tinnies and had fallen asleep. Both woke up when the audience burst out laughing, they missed the joke. I often wondered if they ever looked it up
