I have sorted out one long box worth of comic books to drop off into free little libraries, none with gore or sex just in case kids get 'em. We've also managed to get rid of about a book case worth of books on top of this. Slooooowly de-cluttering.

Talked to the principal about what's going on. She's been out for a week and is swamped, but did go to talk to Velma's teacher about which kids are being bullies. Apparently, there's been an upswing in bullying in general.

A lawsuit isn't really on my mind, to be honest. What I will be opening with is LAUSD's policy in regards to bullying and what is expected to happen. A lot more would have to happen before I say, "Hey, we're suing." A lot.

Velma talked to Steph because she didn't want me to hear it all. APPARENTLY, the other girl - the best friend of the lunch stomper - calls Velma "Demon" every day. That's the only name she calls Velma she was willing to relate. I am going to be an unpleasant parent tomorrow.

Honestly, I just wanted to modernize the comic and avoid some of the worse tropes. But I also knew this was absolutely going to infuriate some people. However, the people who are maddest seemed to have never read the comic in the first place.
