The way it gives dimension to ALL of the one-note butt-of-jokes characters from the original story 😭 the way it moves the economic realities of these women from subtext to text so elegantly 😭😭 THE BREAKING FREE OF TOXIC FAMILY DYNAMICS 😭😭😭 MARYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭

Now that bluesky has increased video length for uploads, you can now watch the entirety of The Conversation from Lucky Star, an age-old rite of passage for anime fans

There were a lot of us dumbasses who thought we were and were surrounded by others trying to do good, who bought into the narratives that sanitized what was happening, but... yeah the reality is that it was deeply reactionary from the ground up and that tendency is what got preyed upon by grifters

Hey ya'll The pageant I'm in is this weekend. I'm just 35$ away from all my donor fees being met, and if I raise another $150 I can participate in a cool modelling competition. If anyone would like to help push me over the finish line, it'd be a sick b-day present. www.namissinfo.com/payment

People who drive cars love to be like "oh you can just run home and come back with xyz" thats actually an additonal 2 hours of my life, thanks though. I love living in a car-centric country. I love living in a car-centric country.

The stuff I saw was more about dialect like how they have both a chatacter from Kansai (Tamamo Cross) and a character from the US South (Taiki Shuttle) so the usual go-to Kansai = Southern doesnt work and how they went about it instead.

Admittedly I havent watched the whole conference but its wild to complain about Daitaku Helios now in relation to me cause like, her untranslatability and the clever workaround have been known.

Cygames' localization is really incredible! Theyre team recently presented on their approach at a conference and its super interesting how they handle such a diverse cast of characters in terms of dialect

California in general has a huge catcalling culture compared to the other states I've been. Sacramento was easily the worst of the cities I've lived in. It happens sometimes here in Washington but its still like night and day.
