This is not beautiful to see. This is the most racist democracy on planet earth, and people just expect Black people to sing negro spirituals and "overcome." It's not working. This still happens for one reason and one reason only: white US folk don't hold each other accountable for this racism.

It was so amazing! Once I go through everything I'm gonna try to post a clip, there were so many fish and a lot of coral!

Also, there is a group of lovely Black women on this cruise ship that I've seen several times wearing matching shirts saying, "Warning: 50th Birthday Incoming," and, as expected, none of them look anywhere near 50 and there is zero way of telling who the birthday lady is. 🤣

Did you know the origin of the "zombie?" In a word, slavery. But it's deeper. "Black Zombie" is a GREAT documentary about this. Blackness, Haitian vodou, how the horror trope originated & its (mis)interpretations. I learned a lot. It's worth your time. 'Tis the season, after all.

Thank you! I was able to talk to him on the phone, so that helped. I don't think I ever had one of my boys text me "I'm scared" before, kind of threw me for a loop. I know he'll be ok, though, he's at one of the best hospitals in the country.

my hot take is, the lost revenue from doing this is actually greater than the lost revenue from “shrinkage” this isn’t about protecting revenue, it’s about generating the data to justify closing stores, usually in already-underserved communities.

I can't even IMAGINE (see what I did there?) being so goddamn incurious about everyone and everything around me that I would just want everything catered to exactly what I like at all times, and ONLY that, never growing, never changing, never discovering new things. Absolutely horrific.

Everything is a dystopian nightmare at this point, like WHY would anyone want this? If every game is exactly what you want, no one would learn anything new, no new game mechanics, no new stories, no branching out into a different genre because you like the story, STOP DOING THIS SHIT!
