#Crosstober2026 Day 7: Sisters in Arms During a mission to find the missing baby #Metroid , Samus also comes across another space warrior; Y'Gythgba / Mona Lisa from the 2012 #TMNT Unfortunately she doesn't know what a "metroid" is... 🙈 A bumpy start before they become allies! 🤭

Digital colour sketches featuring Samus Aran and the baby Metroid from Nintendo's Metroid game series; and Y'Gythgba / Mona Lisa from the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show.

Digital pencil sketch depicting an alien landscape with green skies and strange planets in the distance. Samus Aran is progressing through the landscape while a small container is waiting in the foreground.
Second sketch depicting a glass container containing the baby Metroid; a jellyfish-like body with tiny teeth, floating in a liquid.
Samus off-screen: "There you are!"

Samus kneeling down and reaching for the container. "Let's get you out of here--!"

A blue laser blast shoots right past Samus' left shoulder. Surprised, she turns her head to look over her right shoulder. "*Bzoom!"*

A full-body sketch featuring Mona Lisa the salamandrian, her wrist blaster loaded and aiming straight at the viewer. She has a ferocious expression.
"Stranger! Friend or foe, you will hand me over that Insectoid infant!"

#Crosstober2026 Day 5: Legends of the Groove If #KingdomHearts had Final Fantasy worlds and we'd visit #FF9 , #Goofy and Sylvia Marpole from An Extremely Goofy Movie could've had a dance-off with Freya Crescent and Sir Fratley in Cleyra - of course doing the Pulp Fiction dance! 🕺💃

Digital colour illustration featuring characters from Kingdom Hearts, Disney's An Extremely Goofy Movie and Final Fantasy 9.

Interior Cleyra cathedral main room from Final Fantasy 9, sunny weather outside and crowd gathered in the background.

In the foreground on the wooden "dance floor", Freya Crescent and Sir Fratley from Final Fantasy 9; and Goofy and Sylvia Marpole from An Extemely Goofy Movie are having a dancing contest, both pairs doing the iconic dance from the movie Pulp Fiction.

Sylvia and Goofy are wearing their disco outfits, with their shoes removed, same as Uma Thurman and John Travolta in the movie. Goofy has a hole in his sock, and his ears are tied to a "ponytail", similar to Travolta's character.

Freya and Fratley have their gear, coats and hats removed. All four are smiling happily with their eyes closed.

In the background Sora, Donald and Kairi from Kingdom Hearts are cheering for Goofy, accompanied by Vivi Ornitier from Final Fantasy 9.

Those AI generated mods that are showing up where you literally mash two games together are admittedly intriguing and tap into a sort of childhood fantasy of mine, but also have some very concerning implications, not just in modding and gaming, but for the world at large.

I still see a lot of confusion about what decompilation, recompilation and ports are and what level of effort is involved in each type of project. It's important that people understand the difference, as recompilation took a drastically different meaning that when it was originally introduced.

Courtesy of DA user Kenshin3107, we have an optimistic Spyro meeting and greeting a confused and uncertain Cynder. Whether or not they'll actually meet for the first time ever in the upcoming game remains to be seen.

Figured out how to inject VR into basically any Unreal Engine game. FNAF Security Breach stuck out as the first game to try it on. I also had some graphics mods and a difficulty mod installed which made it even cooler. Chica was NOT supposed to be there, I was shooketh. 🫠

A little teaser of things to come. Haven't ported my updated rig to this outfit yet, but this works fairly well in VR despite me not doing any special considerations for VR. It looks much better in person in the headset too. The wrists twist too much, so I definitely have to do something for that.

Got tricked into thinking this was an actual crossover and was gonna say Mina is becoming to the queen to Shovel Knight's king of indie crossovers, but it's just for a Steam bundle lol. Cool art though.

Didn't get to play much on it tonight since I didn't get to start until late and spent a lot of time downloading stuff and tinkering. I think the OoB experience could be smoother and I'm still figuring out how best to wear it with glasses. But overall starting to love it.

Considering how dicked over by Paramount it was, the Sonic Racing DLC might be the best marketing the ATLA Aang movie is getting.

Work was being done on my bathroom which somehow resulted in multiple power cuts while I was using my computer. Of course this has completely corrupted my Skyrim modlist which I was JUST managing to fix up to be more polished. (My actual mod should be safe though)

Comic strip. Rayman fights a green creature ("VLAM"). A Rabbid approaches Rayman ("TRIII"), scolding him ("BADA BADA!" with a crossed-out image of Rayman & creature). The Rabbid handcuffs itself to Rayman ("CLAC"). The handcuff breaks ("POC").

Since they added Kingdom Hearts to Fortnite, I've decided I want to collect all of the Disney characters that are in Kingdom Hearts in Fortnite. Got a good few so far (plus extras). I might consider doing a similar thing for Smash Bros characters that are also in Fortnite.

It's basically a lottery as to whether or not recomps are lol. Some of them turn out OK since I assume some only partially use it and clean up the code after, but there are a lot of buggy ones too.

Ran into this popularity ranking of female FF characters from Japan. Freya placed 28th, and surprisingly, placed higher than Eiko. It's surprising to me because usually Eiko places higher due to how much FFIX marketing pushes her in Japan, even over Steiner. ranking.net/rankings/bes...

Finished Korra Season 1 today. Might be a hot take but I thought it was better than Season 1 of ATLA. I didn't like the love quadrant stuff at all, there was one nitpicky retcon that bugged me, and the new Team Avatar has less chemistry than the old, but everything else about it was awesome.
