also i'm positive i've had lifelong auditory processing issues because I have distinct memories of 1st grade where we had to stand in line and wait before going to lunch and they made us play the telephone game where someone would whisper things in your ear and i would struggle

probably when it hit most was transition from montessori pre-school/kindergarten to public 1st grade and i was blasting through these little reading comprehension quizzes for chapter books way ahead my grade level and my teacher didn't really know what to do with me
