I’ve been following the #spiritcrossing drama lately and I must say that it angers me to no end. There’s no excuse for using Claude to “make lives easier”, it’s just insane that nowadays people can’t even have a cozy game without it being riddled with gen AI. #AISlop #AntiAI

From my experience seeing people use it firsthand it reduces their creativity and for instances like coding it may show you incorrect code that just causes you to do more work than it would have been if you just did it yourself from the beginning.

Respectfully I have to disagree with this reasoning. You could just see what others have used and find something that’s similar to what you want. Using AI like ChatGPT for example is just taking the easy way out and imo is not worth it in the long run.

My stance on GenAI in the current gaming world is that it sucks. GenAI supporters should just not be game devs as AI ruins the creativity and uniqueness that comes when someone makes a game. Whether it’s artwork, code or placeholders I won’t support a game if it uses AI in any fashion. #AntiAI

While I don’t play as many gachas as I once did, I still follow some news on the genre to know what’s going on and with #NTE now out I must say that this whole situation is abhorrent. The insane amount of gen AI usage is not cool in the slightest.

The gameplay also didn’t really interest me all that much as it became repetitive fairly quickly and, at least for me, it was frequently inconsistent at times. There are other reasons I don’t like the game but they’re mainly nitpicks like fanservice being a bit much and certain designs.

The story imo isn’t very interesting despite being one of the main appeals of the game. The fact that the community is one of the reasons why there aren’t any playable male characters is so disappointing as some of the male characters imo would’ve been cool to play as.

It also has one of the most expensive amount of pulling currencies needed for a ten pull at 2800 crystals (2000 on standard banner). The powercreep in hi3 is also immensely terrible as a new unit could easily be powercrept within a couple versions of being released.

Ok so for those who want to know what my least favorite gacha game is it would be Honkai Impact 3rd. It holds that title for many reasons honestly, one being the sheer amount of favoritism (from what I’ve seen/heard) towards P2Ws. Every character requires you get their signature weapon + Stigmatas.

Tbh, after playing so many gachas I wish those fancy-looking games were just 50-70$ finished titles. How much time will it take for NTE to show its true colours? For it to become a tower of fantasy 2.0 with only female cast and weird management. Or it will be like HSR with very inflexible

Yeah it’s just very upsetting to see that people on social media like twitter value drama more than stuff that actually matters. If your news isn’t exciting or controversial enough people rarely engage with it from my experiences anyways.

Also I’d like to say that if you do use AI in your game then please admit to it and say outright that it’s there and don’t try to hide it. It just makes you look pathetic and disingenuous.

With how some recent companies are beginning to use AI in their games I just have one thing to say: screw them! Using AI to cut costs for your game doesn’t make said game good and ruins your playerbase’s trust in you. So for the love of god if you plan to make a game be genuine about it. #AntiAI

So when I was a kid the first console I remember getting was an SNES. One of the games I had was Megaman X. To this day I’ve never beaten it, however recently I got the urge to play through the X series so I might get the collection if it ever goes on sale on Steam. #MegamanX #SNES

Just giving a heads up on Heartopia: This game uses GenAI, at the very least for artwork on puzzles you can assemble in game.

Ok I won’t spend too much on this as I’m not really a negative person but I just want to say that I hate gen AI. If you use gen ai in any game I will not support you in the slightest as gen AI is just taking the lazy way out in game design/art. I just hope people stop using it one day. #AI
