Oh no, not you at all! I used to put my bike in the back of my Volvo all the time, VW hatchbacks are surprisingly roomie, and tarps exist! I meant the person who can’t figure out how to get around the suburbs (wild guess) without at least 36² feet of cargo space (which SUVs don’t have!)

There are several options in the price range of a new F-150. Unfortunately, the cheapest is the Tesla, but I got offers for pre-owned EVs that I’m guessing are leased models in the $20-25k range on the site. There are also fully electric sports cars & SUVs, which are at least better than ICE ones.

Wow, if only Volvo, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, BMW, Acura, Porsche, Lucid, or good old Subaru and VW could meet their needs, in gas, hybrid, or electric. And publications like Car & Driver or Consumer Reports rated vehicles for safety, reliability, economy, handling, and cargo space. Oh well.

I am an adult spending at least $30-$50k on a car, so social stigma is important to me. I am also an American, so I will wear cargo shorts and crocs with a graphic t-shirt in this vehicle year round, as is my right. Safety and economy are not factors in my decision.

We, journalists working in newsrooms with diverse editorial policies, jointly and unreservedly condemn the death threats issued by the far-right Rassem-blement National (RN) party against our colleagues at Mediapart, as well as the far right's many attacks against journalists throughout the country.

By suggesting that Mediapart put on "its Kevlar suit" (that is, a bulletproof vest), RN leader Marine Le Pen put a target on journalists' backs.

Such violent attempts at intimidation are the hallmark of authoritarian regimes worldwide, and are especially alarming for the right to information, a right to which a democratic country's people are entitled.

Press freedom, protected by the European Convention on Human Rights and international law, makes journalism an essential counter-power. It is alarming that political leaders who aspire to govern the country could behave in such a way.

Journalists investigate on the basis of evidence, report facts, explain, analyze and expose well-oiled communication campaigns, always respecting ethical standards, regardless of their outlet's tendency. Under no circumstances should they face intimidation for having done their job.
