Anyone know a good activity or volunteer opportunity thats adjacent to legal work? If my goal is to go to law school, I think being around lawyers doing related volunteer work would help me get a scholarship. I already work at a law firm so this is building on that.

Judges would force me to spend time with my biological mother because, "a mother shouldn't be separated from her child." Except my mother was starving me to death & exposing me to sexual violence. She'd be gone for months then appear to take me to rehab with her on court order. Fuck judges.

A judge would come to my high school to threaten the entire school. Telling us he'd throw the book on us the first time we came before him. Voters loved this. He was later arrested for taking kickbacks to send kids to the local juvenile detention center.

There's a horror to having given up on your dreams. You stop doing the prerequisite things to maintain the chance of them. It slowly turns you into a person incompatible with who you wish to be. That gets reinforced by no one being able to see you as "the type of person to blank."
