Any other Maine teachers getting a ton of emails encouraging you to opt out of MEA membership under the guise of workplace rights? They imply that the MEA is forcing people to pay dues. BTW union membership is completely voluntary in this state.

In my first block class a student blurted "That's how you pronounce Haitian?!?" so his classmates asked how he thought it was said. When he said "Hait-ee-ans" I just said "Ok, Cher." Cue the confused faces........sigh.

In today's example of how Google search is crap, I wanted to double check a state costume example from the recent Miss America's Teen pageant. I saw a reel recently that had one dressed like the Constitution but couldn't find it again. Google only gave me results for Miss Teen USA. 🙄

Excellent lunch date with Rockstar Husband today. Got touristy and hit up the Lobster Shack at Two Lights & explored tide pools. In a dress and birkenstocks. Visitors, this is a pro move, do not attempt! Wear something grippy, that seaweed is slick. The beach smells better, but this is more fun.,

Bought a new notebook today to organize my notes as I enter the next phase of writing this paper. Man has the paper quality gone down. 5 Star? Felt thin and pen would bleed plus weird triangles in the margins. Mead? Shiny and slick. Felt like pref. pen would smudge. Store brand for the win!

Ahh yes, the shower is absolutely where to store my kettle bells. You workout and shower at the same time! So efficient! Storing the electric toothbrushes and shaver in there just makes sense. 😕 😂 It’s so close, yet so far. I don’t expect better of Amazon though.

Glen had an incredible gift and I feel lucky I got to experience it in person at least once. This was Sept 2025 in Boston on a very soggy day. Glen came on stage and you forgot you were damp, chilly and the ground squished, your were transported. My insta feed is nothing but vids of him today 😭💔

Way to undermine the voting laws of the state you represent Susie! The same state that has only had 2 incidents of voter fraud since 1982. Both in 2010. That’s it. Maine has some of the highest voter turnout in the country. Because it’s easy and accessible to vote here.

Ok, so I’m in Freeport on the L.L. Bean campus, on a July Saturday evening, with a full concert happening behind me and can I just saw it is so quiet for Freeport. It’s weird. I drove in and got a spot directly behind the flagship store. There are people wandering around, but no traffic. IYKYK
