This sounds miserable and I’m really curious to see it. If for nothing else, I want to see a movie that makes the end of Civil War seem subtly effective. (I quite liked Civil War but I didn’t find it especially subtle)

When the film bizarrely tries to get serious with its subject matter, it only reveals its disastrous inadequacies. There is a moment where Joe confesses how, as a photographer, coming upon scenes of violence leaves him not mourning those who have been lost, but wishing he could make them look more visually interesting in his camera. But where something like the recent "Civil War" explored such tensions with subtle effectiveness, Snyder lacks any such restraint.

Shocktober ‘26 Pregame #3: RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE My least favorite of the modern era Residents Evil but the only one in the package of 7/8/9 I bought for Switch 2 I hadn’t finished. I like how Ethan is kind of a doofy dad throughout. I still think the elevator safe room is a cool idea.
