For my elder kid’s birthday a few days ago I flew halfway across the country through tornado warnings and severe storms then drove a big truck for two days to move them to a home they’ve never known. I’m so glad the younger kid’s birthday today will be less of an adventure.

I love that my elder child (who is halfway across the country and somewhat estranged from us) called me this morning. I love even more that (they?) were able to talk about the probability they are trans. I love my kids.

Holy fuck, my appointment is tomorrow morning. Rescheduled three times with this doctor alone after having it cancelled last year because I moved. Will it finally happen?
