My double red hibiscus bush is doing well. It was a surprise to see the bloom type. I bought it without blooms and no tag for identification. Big blooms that are a bit heavy for some side branches.

Jackmanii has large dark purple flowers and blooms a long time. You would need a very tall trellis. It must get as tall as an old fashioned lilac bush!

I had trouble with a wilt disease on clematis a couple times. I'm sure others have experienced that as well. I had no trouble with jackmanii, but it gets huge.
