🌱Need to up my gardening game to accommodate heat, drought and cold winter wet on a heavy soil. Don’t rush for “drought tolerant” plants. There is more to it. The flowery mead has been good this year. Shading grasses and deep roots of self-established perennials. The formal borders struggle. 🧵

🌱Nice one-off pruning job today above the Stour Estuary. Tee shirt weather. A herd of black sheep (Hebridean?) suddenly appeared. There was a path down to the foreshore.
