First, he'd rather take over his grandmother's bakery than sell tools for the rest of his life. Second, he has an intense crush on Helen but he doesn't know how to talk to her… Let alone reveal that he's a demisexual virgin.

But he finds his tongue after Helen's accidental spell leaves him bewitched.

Instant attraction with Everett wasn't her goal, but the results are hot. Unfortunately, this sexy conjuring only distracts them from a larger problem: There's something evil in Everett's grandmother's house and Helen will need to summon all of her newfound skills to get rid of it.

There's only been 1 book where I've given my characters pets. Normally, I'll lose track of a dog by Chapter 5 and then delete them altogether 😭 In I'LL CONJURE FOR YOU, the rabbit is a familiar for my witch and the dog is the companion of her love interest. They have their roles and I love them 🥹💞

I got this book for Mr R. for Christmas and he devoured it in two days. Then he gave it to me—an equally Cold War-obsessed reader—and told me "to get into it NOW." I'm half way into it and can tell you that this is straight up horror. I've never read non-fiction that was so horrifying.

Maya glanced at him, unimpressed. “You’re not gonna do this the whole time, are you?”
“I’ll ration it.”
Ten minutes later: “This was Jamie Lee Curtis’s first film. Her mom played the shower victim in Psycho.”
She groaned, but she was smiling. “Okay, that’s actually a good one.”
Twenty minutes in: “I don’t know if you noticed, but this was filmed in California, not Illinois. Also, they shot this in spring, so those leaves are fake.”
“You are incorrigible,” she whispered.

I read Kick at the Darkness by Suleikha Snyder. It's a zombie apocalypse novella, yet so emotionally intense, and the central couple has such history and a complex romantic journey, and the HEA is so fulfilling despite the bleak world... HOW?! I love reading skillful romance. This genre is hard.
