A fire forced the complete shutdown of Cardón, Venezuela’s second-largest refinery, with a capacity of 310K barrels per day, Reuters reports. Sources said it began in a gas line connected to the diesel hydrotreater. The blaze was extinguished within an hour; no worker injuries were reported.
