It feels as through they’re locked into their own private world together, sharing a conversation or experience unknown to the viewer. Though they are connected, Octave is kneeing on the floor in front of the couch with which Ayala is sitting on. A funky window curtain is their backdrop and a large animal fur rug is spread out on the floor under Octave.

The Funeral Mute {R e d u x} pt i During the Regency, most upscale funerals were comprised of a number of attendants, including "mutes." Like the majority of funeral attendants at this time, these mutes were provided by the undertaker. I ask, If this is the mute… who the fk died?
